This new version of Windows Server offers the latest security features and performance improvements. It also offers the option to purchase Extended Security Updates (ESUs) for Windows Server 2012. This allows users to receive security updates for up to three years, renewable annually until 13th October 2026.

Organisations purchasing ESUs for Windows Server 2012 can use Azure Arc to automatically deploy these updates on-premises. Azure Arc provides an integration to extend Azure security and management to the on-premises environment, allowing organisations to enjoy the benefits of the cloud even while remaining partially on-premises.
