Changes To SharePoint Online Public Website

Microsoft have announced that customers who are currently utilising the SharePoint Online Public Website as part of their Office 365subscription, will need to plan to move their website to a third-party solution.

There’s no need to panic just yet, as you have two years before this takes effect for existing customers. However, we know as small businesses, things can pile up so in order for you to have plenty of time to migrate to an alternative website hosting platform, with theleast amount of disruption to your business, we’re letting you know in advance.

Nevertheless, the existing SharePoint Online Public Website feature was only designed for customers who needed a basic online presence. Microsoft promises to offer access to new solutions that will provide more robust tools and solutions that are required to deliver, support, and manage a fuller online presence.

More information on the third party offerings Microsoft are putting in place will be available later this month.

We will keep you up to date with any new information regarding this change as it is released.
